The
Foster Grandparent Program
319 SOUTH 6TH
THERMOPOLIS, WYOMING, 82443
307-864-5544 – 1-888-577-1374
The Foster Grandparent Program has two goals: engaging persons
60 and older, particularly those with limited incomes, in volunteer
service to meet critical community needs; and providing a high
quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers.
Program funds are used to support Foster Grandparents in providing
supportive, person-to-person services to children having exceptional
or special needs. The Foster Grandparent program enables low-income
persons aged 60 and over to remain physically and mentally active
and to enhance their self-esteem through continued participation
in needed community service. The program enables children with
either exceptional or special needs to achieve improved physical,
mental, emotional, and social development thereby helping them
to reach social, behavioral, developmental, and educational goals.
The program provides a stipend and other benefits which enable
eligible persons to participate as Foster Grandparents without
cost to themselves.
The Foster Grandparent Program is located in Big Horn, Park,
Washakie, Hot Springs, and Fremont (including the reservation)
counties and the city of Casper.
